On this page I will explore what it is like to feel truly alone, a stranger in a world that makes you one. This journey of isolation will be taken through two forums, We will begin our traveling through the chapters of The Stranger by Albert Camus. Our journey also takes us to the exploration of The Truman Show as the cinematography tecniques will vividly be analyzed as well as their purpose explained. The connections of isolation will further described with a comparison analysis of both sources.
The Stranger This is an existentialist novel about the disconnect between human existence and the world as we know it to be. The main character Meursault discovers his own indifference while enlightening his own purpose. Through his self discovery he is able to find inner peace through his realization as he is finally freed from society. The Truman Show The next step on our journey is to through the chilling plot of the film The Truman Show in which the main charac.ter discovers that his whole world is one colossal lie. He is able to find the truth throug his isolation when he finds out that he as been filmed for his whole life as part of at T.V. all too realistic reality show. |
